Congee-Based Hot Pot

Our exclusive congee-based hot pot is inspired by Chaoshan tradition, using fragrant rice slowly simmered into a clear, aromatic broth. With live seafood and seasonal vegetables, the flavour becomes sweeter and richer as it cooks — perfectly balancing our bold mala in a refined Tai Chi Hot Pot pairing.

To finish, the remaining rice grains are crafted into our signature Rice Ice Cream, a simple yet memorable end to the meal.

Mao Xiang Xiang’s Taichung Flagship upgrades our signature Sichuan mao-cai into a hot pot base and pairs it with Chaoshan congee broth to create the Tai Chi Pot — bold mala meets gentle comfort.

The congee broth is slow-simmered from fragrant rice, clear and aromatic, growing sweeter with fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables.
After cooking, the remaining rice becomes our complimentary Rice Ice Cream, bringing a spicy beginning and a softly sweet finish — the spirit of Mao Xiang Xiang in one pot.
